Women’s Health asked us for our golden rules for prepping low calorie, high nutrition packed lunches for a recent article. As creating lunch boxes day in and day out is what we do it was a pretty easy task At Lunch BXD HQ for us!

 

 

“Gone are the days when packed lunches were familiar only to school kids and their parents. If you’re trying to eat healthy, lose weight and save money you need to be bringing your lunch in at least some of the time.

So, we caught up with the creators of Lunch Bxd, Naomi and Anna, to get their top tips on how to assemble exciting, delicious and satisfying lunches.

1. THINK ABOUT TEXTURES

Three different types of dry food will not make for a happy lunch. Similarly, vegetables like aubergine and mushroom often have a slimy texture so put something crunchy alongside them.

2. REMEMBER WHAT WORKS AT WHAT TEMPERATURE

There are certain ingredients that don’t work as well cold as they would do warm; pulled meats can be tricky, but as long as they’re not too fatty can work okay….”
